Today, at this moment, two Giga-hertz computer chips with hard drive and memory rated in Gigabits are designing this web page. Our first business computer had 64K of memory. Our first design computer ran at 16MHZ and had the first version of Adobe Illustrator which could only do black and white drawings and print to a black and white postscript laser printer. And these were vast improvements over the columnar pads, drawing boards, and paste up hand tools used before that.

But some things do remain the same:
